Former Moshavnik Omer Adam rose to the top of Mizrahi pop as a teen—but his work since has shown serious musical evolution. His 2017 album, Acharei Kol Hashanim, continues the growth displayed on 2015's Modeh Ani, pairing pulsing pop anthems primed for wedding receptions alongside sweeping and passionate ballads. The album's title track features Adam and little more than an acoustic guitar, but his white-knuckle belting is heartbreaking. When the music breaks into a gallop, it's a fitting match for his powerhouse vocals.
