Originally released as part of the mammoth 2016 rarities clearinghouse The Early Years 1965-1972,
1970 Devi/Ation contains all the known unreleased music and video
Pink Floyd recorded that year.
Pink Floyd released the ambitious
Atom Heart Mother and its title track suite is heard three times on the two CDs and is also in two different concerts on the visual component, which is presented as both DVD and Blu-ray; additionally, the original quad mix of the album is available on the DVD and Blu-ray. The second CD contains 16 unreleased tracks from their soundtrack to Michelangelo Antonioni's Zabriskie Point, and this free-floating incidental music nicely contrasts with the exploratory but controlled BBC session from July that's on disc one. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
