A Cappella Christmas is an excellent way for the independent label to showcase their talented artist roster. Granted, the album does feature contributions from several acts on other labels, including the Persuasions,
the Bobs, La Bande Magnetik and Beachfront Property, but their presence will likely entice their fans to sample the wonders of the Swingle Sisters, Take Heart, the Blenders, the Haven Quartet,
the House Jacks, Rockapella and
Vox One, among others. The a cappella groups give the album a thematic continuity, letting the recrod move from classical to pop, from traditional carols to new holiday tunes. Throughout it all, the mood remains light, warm and friendly -- an ideal record for the Christmas season. ~ Robert Lovering
