Drea, who gained notice as the singer on the "Got Ya Back" (a duet with rapper
Black Rob) in 1998, proves little more than a small-voiced mouthpiece for executive producer Kenny "K-Smoove" Kornegay on this full-length album, which features the single. The field of young female R&B singers ready to murmur and ululate over prominent, slow-paced drum tracks, backup harmonies and raps is overcrowded, and
Drea does little to distinguish herself from the pack here. Kornegay's only thematic idea seems to be to put a brief, string-filled "interlude" every few songs, presumably to distract the listener from the sameness of the tracks otherwise. The lure to try to cash in with soundalikes is practically irresistible in pop music, but there's little reason for listeners to put aside those
