At first, Allfrumtha i's eponymous debut appears to fulfill the potential of their cameos on the celebrated
Westside Connection and
Mack 10 albums. The duo has an intense vocal interplay and Squeek-Ru, in particular, has a flair for imaginative, hard-edged rhymes. The only problem with the record is that the duo can't keep the beats and rhymes coming with the same intensity that begins the record. By the end of the record, they've aired most of their ideas twice, and the beats have lost their originality. Still, the best moments on the first half of the record prove Allfrumtha i is a West Coast duo with enormous potential.
