Talking Heads reached a most accessible plateau creating quirky, short pop structures often coupled with equally quirky, at times humorous, lyrics. The
And She Was maxi-single features two remixed cuts from the album: "And She Was (extended mix)" and "Television Man (dance mix)." The former, remixed by Eric E.T. Thorngren, features a cool guitar/percussion intro but is generally similar to the original. On the other hand, "Television Man," a funky pop rocker remixed by Steven Stanley, is quite different from its original counterpart, with the individual instruments standing out clearly.
