This double album, for which Andrzej Ratusiński chose his recordings, is perhaps the most comprehensive presentation of the pianistic art of an artist who has performed for years in the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, often alongside such conductors as Leonard Bernstein, Herbert von Karajan or Wolfgang Sawallisch. It features recordings of J.S. Bach, Mendelssohn and Grieg, as well as studio and concert recordings presenting Andrzej Ratusiński as an outstanding interpreter of solo transcriptions of works by Bach, Liszt and Chopin's compositions. Maciej Grzybowski describes in detail the content of the album, ending with the artist's words: "For reasons I can only guess, these recordings have been in the archives for over forty years. It's been a long time when I changed as a person and matured as a pianist thanks to my personal contacts with the greatest musicians of the last century. So I am asking my listeners to treat this recording as archival recordings". © Polskie Radio
