Covering
Johnny Hallyday's searching period from the middle of the 1970s through the mid-'90s, this double-disc set contains radio hits, soundtrack contributions, album cuts, and some surprises. While the ubiquitous "Rock'n'Roll Attitude" is included here, so are his French versions of American rock hits like "Old Time Rock 'n' Roll" ("Le Bon Temps Rock 'n' Roll"), "Sweet Home Alabama" ("Cartes Postales d'Alabama"), and "Sweet Music Man" ("Revoilà Ma Solitude"), to mention a few. Other notables include the beatific yet racy love song "Derrière l'Amour" ("Dietro l'Amore"). ~ Thom Jurek
