Alternative country appears to have a much wider following over in Europe than it does in America, thus this St. Louis group releasing its
Back to My Senses on a German label. What lies inside, however, is pure American country rock & roll. When listening, think of the
Jayhawks and Wilko getting together for a country jam session only to have Neil Young and Crazy Horse join in. While a bit underproduced,
Back to My Senses flows along with all the charm of the best alternative country-rock releases. Highlights include the dreamy "Sleep Next to You," "David Bromberg" (the song, not the man), and the title cut. Pleasantly convincing,
Back to My Senses by Nadine can best be described as nice. ~ James Chrispell
