The follow-up to debut album
Fliang,
Barfuass um Die Welt is the 2009 LP from German singer/songwriter
Claudia Koreck. Influenced by
Norah Jones and
Tracy Chapman, the 12 Gunnar Graewert-produced tracks combine blues, jazz, and pop with vocals sung entirely in the Bavarian dialect. A bonus edition, featuring a duet with
Donavon Frankenreiter ("Beautiful"), a live performance of "Chocolat," and a DVD with 17 live performances and two videos, was also released. ~ Jon O'Brien
