One of the last bands in need of "best-of" treatment,
Chapterhouse released only two studio albums, both of which were reissued around the time Sony BMG threw together
The Best of Chapterhouse. (Whirlpool was expanded to 16 tracks in 2006; Blood Music was reissued in 2008, just months after this set.) If anything, a reissue of 1996's Rownderbowt, a compilation of EP tracks and demos, should have been in order. Instead, here is a 15-track overview. In all fairness, it's a budget-priced disc, and it does contain all of the shoegaze band's most notable material, with the exception of Blood Music's "Don't Look Now." ~ Andy Kellman
