Wreckless Klan went through a number of trials and tribulations -- including the death of one member, .38, and the jailing of anotther,
Ice Lord -- before they could release their first album,
Blowin' Up Tha Scene. Some of those painful experiences come through on the album, but for the most part,
Blowin' Up Tha Scene merely celebrates the gangsta lifestyle instead of examining it. Fortunately, the lyrical skills of
Point Blank and PSK-13 make their sentiments somewhat forgiveable. Even so, the music on the album is far too predictable to make the album an impressive debut.
