Teeming, sometimes ragged but always blistering piano tracks from
Bud Powell, recorded in 1964. These were done in recognition of
Powell's stint at the Bouffemont facility following his near breakdown. He and drummer
Art Taylor are the dominant musicians, while either
Michel Gaudray or
Guy Hayat on bass and other drummer
Jacques Gervais are competent, but not in
Powell or
Taylor's class.
