Born with a Smile was
Bobby Rydell's attempt at a comeback in 1976. As such, it's a record out of time.
Rydell is sticking to the kinds of songs that brought him hits in the early '60s, but the music is given a glossy sheen, like when
Elton John produced
Neil Sedaka. Which means it's more of a curiosity than a full-fledged record, even for hardcore fans. And, as a curiosity, it's a testament to the times and is interesting on that level...but it's not an album you'd listen to a whole lot.
