Further distancing herself from her talent show background, 2002 Star Academie winner Nolwenn Leroy‘s fourth studio album, Bretonne, pays tribute to her Brittany birthplace with 13 tracks performed in Gaelic, English, French, and Breton. Produced by Jon Kelly (Kate Bush, Tori Amos), the follow-up to 2009's Le Cheshire Cat et Moi includes covers of both traditional Celtic songs ("Mna Na H-Eireann") and more contemporary numbers including Alain Souchon's "Le Bagad de Lann-Bihoue" and Christophe Miossec's "Brest," the latter of whom penned the album's only original track, "Je Ne Serai Jamais Ta Parisienne."
