Universal International's audio companion to the DVD of
Mötley Crüe's surprisingly successful 2005 Carnival of Sins tour may lack all of the hyperactive visuals and forced sleaze that peppered the stage, but fans who are more comfortable picturing their aging heroes in the leather pants of their youth will find the performances to be firmly rooted in the band's hormonal heydays. All of the hits are here ("Too Young to Fall in Love," "Home Sweet Home," "Dr. Feelgood") and a few of their misses ("Anarchy in the U.K.," "Primal Scream"), but the boomy, washed-out sound keeps the listener wearily resigned to the nosebleed section. ~ James Christopher Monger
