This is a remarkably disorienting three-disc set posing as the perfect soundtrack to a Christmas party. The first disc is a wonderfully varied collection of Christmas songs, yes, ranging widely from
Slade's "Merry Christmas Everybody" to
Bing Crosby's classic "White Christmas," but the other two discs are incredibly random sets of rock and pop songs that have nothing at all to do with Christmas or any other holiday. It's kind of conceptually confusing, a bit like having a Christmas Party and then forgetting completely that it's a Christmas party. Flipping the coin, this collection does sound like a jukebox, but instead of calling it
Christmas Jukebox, it should have been called "Jukebox with Some Christmas Songs On It."
