The brothers Ewald and Arnold Coleske were among the first South African musical acts to make big strides among European listeners in the mid-’90s. Much of that was down to their 1997 single “Take Me Where The Sun Is Shining”, which celebrates the sun-dappled appeal of the Rainbow Nation. It’s only one example of the many inspiring tracks on the duo’s debut album—a rousing blend of pop-rock and folk-inflected melodies—that struck a chord not only abroad but also in their homeland, where their legacy is now well-established. This remaster gives a deserved polish to some of their most memorable songs.
