A visit to the world of Copper Vale is bewildering and exhilarating in equal measure. Silvery drones are threaded with quiet scraping and rustling; foreground and background collapse into a hazy ambient blur. The pan pipes of "Tslasher" and the birdcalls of "Sarnath" hint at pastoral landscapes, but the grinding distortion that threads "Apple Dredger" and "Relisher" zaps us back to the land of heavy industry.
