Cover Ups collects a number of -- as the title says -- cover versions, most of them unconnected in theme or style, by mostly obscure dance-oriented artists. The songs here range from Motown to new wave to disco to straight-up pop to punk-pop; while some of the recastings are interesting, in general the album doesn't provide the sorts of reimaginings one might hope for.
