There is quite a lot to recommend
Crazy Rhythm, beginning with the prized Jubilee label. Liner notes are an early effort by the king of cheesy liner notes,
Mort Goode, and they provide straightforward details about a fairly uninteresting performer (it's his LP debut) so far. While there is multi-track recording (overdubbing) -- to make
Don Lee sound like several accordions -- the music is no more or less "crazy" than similar gimmicky records in RCA's Stereo Action series, for instance. But it is solidly, consistently good throughout, and the jacket art (mixed-media collage) certainly is a bonus. Standards include "Caravan," "Lover," and "Stumbling."
