Kabir raises the bar for lyrical prowess on his debut album, Cultural Confusion. While other rappers pride themselves on the bling of their ice, the figures of their women, or the diameters of their rims, Kabir prides himself on the depth of his lyrics, which are printed in this album's CD booklet. Similarly lyrically inclined rappers Mr. Lif, Virtuoso, and Esoteric join Kabir on "Deficiency Disease," "Democracy!," and "Run Out of Words?," respectively. Kabir produces many of the album's beats himself, though producers Dan Berkson, Nils Van Otterloo, and Solomon Grunge contribute beats as well. Overall, you can tell that Kabir's Boston locale influences his lyrics; he's one of the more academic MCs in the game, no doubt a result of the city's myriad academic institutions.
