Dinamica 1 was recorded within three days in October 1996 and served as Italian progressive rock band
Eclisse's demo. It was remastered in July 1999 and made available to the public through mp3.com. The creative force behind
Eclisse is lead guitarist Gianluca Rastelli who wrote all the music and was the band's most competent musician. This band did not have much of an impact on the progressive rock community: Their brand of neo-prog rock, catchy pop hooks and occasional metal-derived rhythm patterns came at a time when many similar bands were trying to find their niche. The writing is efficient as much on the pop side (the catchy "Lacrime Nel Cielo") as on the neo-prog side ("Mostri Di Fango"), vocals are honest, production is OK, but there is simply nothing in
Eclisse's music that could help them get noticed among the dozens of other
Marillion/Queensrÿche-influenced groups. ~ François Couture
