Asia 2001's
Dreamland is one of the most repetitive, droning experiences put to record. Rarely letting up on the constant rhythm, relying on simple bizarre noises and and beeps and blips to carry the music, the group definitely paints themselves into a corner after a while. It isn't that the music is bad; instead they let it go on far too long and it begins to lose the listener through time. The translation to the dancefloor will be much easier, as this is where the music was designed for, but overall this is a pretty average album that doesn't do much more than offer a cure for insomnia for those not shaking their butt or tripping on psychedelic drugs.
