Originally recorded in 1981 and a rare vinyl find until its 2007 release on CD, this dub showdown between Lloyd "Sir" Coxsone's sound system and Birmingham sound system Quaker City is an aural textbook of bass and drum science. If this is a "war," it's a laid-back battle that only shows how good both of these U.K. dub/reggae acts were. The album was produced by Bunny Lee at King Tubby's studio, and mixed by King Tubby's protege, Scientist.
