ALBUM

Pure and simple this is new age Celtic-flavored pablum. There is little compelling here except for the near-virtuoso violin playing of Fionnula Sherry. There are some vocals placed in here, all of them near a whisper and evoking breathlessly the magic just beyond the night sky, the glen, the next kiss or some such. It's very difficult not to be cynical when music like this is not created seemingly as an end in itself with a very, very small but dedicated market niche in mind. ~ Thom Jurek
