This 11-track Beny Moré live collection was brought to us by the good people at the "Instituto Cubano de Radio y Television." Apparently recorded in 1950, the performances suffer from imperfect sound quality -- they're certainly not bad for Cuban radio performances from the '50s -- but really wins out everywhere else. The band is tight and responsive, Moré is in top form belting out sones, mambos, and boleros, and the appreciation from the studio audience is clearly audible throughout. Moré recorded a lot of great music that's been posthumously pillaged for shady reissues, but En Vivo contains a lot of solid music.
