Este Es Mi Mundo offers four originals out of ten tracks. Curiosities include "Lover Come Back to Me" and "San Juan," both arranged by Hernandez but sung in English. In "Llama!," a Latinate version of the bossa nova hit "Call Me,"
Rodriguez actually sings scat in Spanish, in addition to speaking at the end. "Boogaloo en Puerto Rico" is entertaining but not a lost Latin soul track that disc jockeys need to seek out.
Rodriguez' "world" is code for a hodgepodge of styles, from ballad to boogaloo, which at only ten cuts means another product squeezed out by United Artists, whether it is an entirely new session or contains leftovers from previous ones. ~ Tony Wilds
