Carpe Wade's debut album Evidence falls somewhere between the grunged-up power pop of the Posies' Frosting on the Beater and the speedy punk-pop of Green Day's Dookie. Certainly, the band plays with more energy than the average new power pop band, but the group lacks the memorable hooks that would make Evidence anything more than a promising debut.
