Like an amalgam of
Gwar,
Megadeth, and
Corrosion of Conformity, L.A.'s
Rosemary's Billygoat uses absurd, Medieval Times-like imagery but rocks with the will of the aforementioned on
Evilution. Guitarist Neal Gargantua is easily the group's biggest asset, as he slays many modern day axe-wielders with inviting riffs and wicked soloing, but vocalist Mike Odd's Satanic, shout-styled vocals are grating, specifically on "Control Issues" and "Electrocution." The latter, told from the electric chair-bound character's point of view, takes the set to all new heights of gore.
