FADED LOVE is an unusual Patsy Cline compilation in that it draws from the second half of her career. Cline's first recordings, produced by Owen Bradley between 1955 and 1960, were made for the Four Star company and were characterized by a freewheeling experimentation with honky tonk, rockabilly, r&b, gospel, and pop material and arrangements. From 1960 to 1963 she recorded directly for the Decca label, continuing to work with Bradley until her untimely death in a plane crash in 1963.
