On 2008's FIESTA SIN FIN!, Los Soberanos sound like a comedy rock act rather than, say, an indie pop group that reinvents ye ye and bubblegum pop. Compare this to a band like Fitness Forever, who sound like a zany, goofy pop group from the '60s but definitely don't come off like they're joking around. That said, FIESTA SIN FIN! is a pretty fun listen, and if anything it's the kind of thing that would make good background music for a cocktail party (especially if said cocktail party involves some sort of Tiki theme). Los Soberanos' covers are far and away the best offerings here. "Bibi" is a swingin', campy reconfiguation of Manolo Diaz's original, and their rendition of Los Supersonicos' "Por Que Te Vas?" is a refreshing blend of sweet and tart.
