Released to coincide with the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, FIFA 2014 Hits is a compilation of sound-alike versions of anthemic, stadium-friendly hits. With liner notes that make the specious claim that songs like "Whoomp, There It Is" and "We're Not Gonna Take It" were "inspired by the best soccer players and stadiums in the world," and a cover logo lifted from the box art of the EA Sports FIFA 14 video game, this collection is a bit of a head-scratcher. With the songs performed by groups like Soccer Stars and Brickbreaker instead of the originals, those wowed by the fun track list will be sorely disappointed when they pop this bad boy in the CD player. Unless you have a real soft spot for knockoff versions of popular songs, this compilation is is likely to be a letdown. ~ Gregory Heaney
