In true fashion for the Dressed to Kill label, this
Peter Frampton and Friends date is a completely jive title. The truth of the matter is that it's vocalist and songwriter
Nanette Workman's live gig with
Frampton and band backing her up.
Workman is a more than capable singer, as evidenced by her own material here as well as
Mick Jagger's "Loving Cup," and
Frampton is dead-on as a guitarist, but anybody falling for this because they think it's anything more than
Frampton being a very supportive -- and at times even dominating the proceedings -- sidekick is fooling herself. It's really a rule that just seeing the Dressed to Kill imprint is cause for suspicion.
