If the band name is anything to go by, it seems
the Strap-Ons are long in the tooth when it pertains to the punk rock method. More than two dozen songs in 40 minutes is something to behold, and each song packs quite a wallop. Lead singer Brian Diederich goes about lewdly ranting about sex, Jon Bonet, dolls having sex, drugs, sex, violence, pimps, and anarchy, minus the British sneering of Johnny Rotten. Supported by a credible cast in Billy England and Katie Grottenhaler, each number is identical to the other, with Blacksheep of Society a possible exception. Diehard old-school punk fans should embrace this band energetic take no prisoners approach with this record, but it's definitely an acquired taste. ~ Jason MacNeil
