Thompson's compositional versatility and flexibility have allowed him to proliferate in numerous styles. Thompson also injects a very subtle Celtic overtone into this disc. Only very deep listeners will be able to hear it. At that, the listener must be aware of the influence to hear it. It is there. Thompson's intricate arrangements and delicate treatments pull the styles together. The diverse overtones combine to give the CD a new and fresh feeling and a vibrant sound.
