Former
Spinners lead singer and Motown solo artist
G.C. Cameron returned to his Mississippi roots in the early '80s, relocating to the state and signing with the Jackson-based company Malaco. It did get some regional attention, and also showed that
Cameron's soulful sound hadn't lost its edge. ~ Ron Wynn
