As Glee's final season drew to a close, the drama -- and music -- reached new heights. This EP gathers some of the songs New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline performed during Glee's last-ever Sectionals competition, plus Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) and Rachel Berry (
Lea Michele)'s powerful version of
Roxette's "Listen to Your Heart." The competition finds Vocal Adrenaline in full '80s mode with flashy performances of
Starship's "We Built This City" and
Toni Basil's "Mickey," while New Directions opt for more contemporary fare. Aside from a Madison (Laura Dreyfuss) and Mason (Billy Lewis, Jr.)-led rendition of
Styx's "Come Sail Away," their picks are very 2015:
Hozier's "Take Me to Church" (a standout performance from Noah Guthrie as Roderick) and
Sia's "Chandelier" (featuring Dreyfuss and Becca Tobin as Kitty Wilde). In all, it's a satisfying souvenir of one of the most important parts of Glee's world. ~ Heather Phares
