For Go to Sleep Jeff, the Wiggles put aside their usual high-energy fare and present a set of lush lullabies. The tracks are first presented with spoken introductions -- in the form of explanations, scene setting, or guided meditations -- and then repeated without the intros. Suffused with dreamy orchestration and soothing backing vocals by the Manzillas, this mix of songs and instrumental pieces (with the emphasis heavily on the former), comes right out of the sandman's own record collection. And, in keeping with the foursome's multi-cultural philosophy, they've included traditional tunes from Australia, Ireland, Poland, and Greece. There's also an adaptation of "Brahms' Lullaby," as well as a strong quota of Wiggles' originals. Lyrics have been included, so parents can sing along to their child. A superb sleep-time album for the young ones.
