Goin' to Town in Carlisle '94 is disc number three in Lake Records' Diamond Jubilee Collection series. It contains a previously unissued recording of jazz trombonist Chris Barber's 1994 concert tour featuring his original 1954 band lineup, a skiffle set with Lonnie Donegan, and Chris Barber's Jazz & Blues Band of 1994. Some of the classics Barber and associates re-create include "Worried Man Blues," "Hiawatha Rag," "Bourbon Street Parade," and "Ellingtonia: Double Check Stomp/Stevedore Stomp/Goin' to Town," and clarinetist Monty Sunshine is featured on "Petite Fleur," "The Old Rugged Cross," "St. Philip Street Breakdown," and "Hushabye." The CD comes with a 12-page booklet, photos, and informative liner notes.
