Planting a Tree

Is Done With a Belief

In a Shade

That He Will Never

Sit Under.

Why Do I Care

For the Shade of Others?

I Have Felt

A Breeze

And Know Others

Have Felt the Same.

There Is No Path Forward

That Does Not Include

Delayed Gratification.

I Will Work for You

Without an Expectation

Of the Same.

If Man Is of God

Then So Are His

Creations.

Yet I Am No Tree.

And I Am No Machine.

But I Have Known Both,

Without an Understanding

Of Either.

And So,

I Know Which I Must Fear.
