Imagine the music of
Dream Theater without a keyboardist, and with more focus placed on the guitars and vocals. Add in a small dose of fusionish guitar work, a slight modern rock/alternative angle, and an interesting off-kilter quirkiness. You now have in your mind a pretty good representation of the sound of this CD. The performances on the album are actually very strong, and there really is not a weak track on the disc. For fans of thinking man's hard rock, this album should really be classified as a "must-have."
