It's hard to think of
Walker's first studio album as a debut since he has been performing worship music for over 15 years. In that time, he has penned a number of well-known anthems, including "Mourning Into Dancing" and "He Knows My Name," and released several live recordings. This album took the charged atmosphere and big heart of those projects and simply perfected it.
Walker wanted to do something different for a change, and the result was monumental.
I Have a Hope showed the potential to pull congregational worship out of the bland rut that it had dug into following the new millennium.
