Ich War Noch Niemals in New York weaves the songs of Austrian schlager vocalist
Udo Jürgens into a plot which centers around a couple escaping from a nursing home to get married on a cruise ship. This original cast recording of the show, performed in 2008 at Hamburg's Operettenhaus, features 25 renditions of his most famous tracks, including his 1966 Eurovision Song Contest winner "Merci Cherie," his 1978 German World Cup anthem "Buenos Dias Argentina," and the disco hit "Ich Weiss Was Ich Will." ~ Jon O'Brien
