Altoist
Sonny Fortune (also heard here on soprano and flute) recorded three albums for Atlantic from 1976-78, but none are all that exciting. On this date, the emphasis is on funkier sounds during originals by either keyboardist
Larry Willis or
Fortune. Although there are a few decent solos (this was an early effort for trumpeter
Tom Browne), it is doubtful that anyone will be calling Atlantic demanding that they reissue this commercial LP's music on CD. ~ Scott Yanow
