Dirty Linen, in 1987. On
Inside Job, she and her band, The Love Slaves (!!), weave a rockin' spell where the grooves range from silky to positively snaky and the lyrics are always barbed, as
Chapman takes aim at L-O-V-E -- the beginning and end of it. On tunes like "I Must Be Missing You," "X-Ray Eyes," and the chilling "Looking for a Kiss," the mood is bittersweet, like a 3 A.M. barroom conversation with a good friend.
