A compilation issued in the U.K. on Bleeding Chin in 1987,
Just Like Everybody contains highlights from
Seven Songs,
The Culling Is Coming,
Urban Gamelan, and some of
23 Skidoo's assorted singles released from 1982-1986. One-third of its tracks come from the thoroughly excellent
Seven Songs, with significantly less taken from the other longer form releases. It should be noted that the version of "Coup" here is an exclusive mix (not listed as such) that is inferior to the original, slightly slower in tempo with extra trumpet improvisation, added shuffling percussion, and elements of "F.U.G.I." When LTM issued a two-disc version of
Just Like Everybody in 2008, the label drastically reconfigured the original's makeup, extending the set to 16 tracks with the second disc a straight reissue of
Just Like Everybody, Part 2 (itself a disc made of studio material that had, until 2002, remained unreleased).
