A three-CD set containing 54 songs, very well annotated (in French), covering the singer's entire career from 1956 through the mid-1980s. The sound is excellent and the selection gives one a good overview of
Dalida's development as a pop singer, even as the booklet provides a vivid picture of her evolution as a pop culture icon. Some of her more controversial recordings aren't represented, but all of the French and major international highpoints are present, divided up thematically on the three separate discs, of which the first is the most entertaining. Available as an import from MCA-Universal. ~ Bruce Eder
