A compilation of some of their biggest songs from 1955 and 1958,
Orquesta Aragón's
Legends of Cuban Music is a pretty great selection of the band's earlier work. A perennial favorite, "El Bodeguero," acts as the opening track, and "Tres Lindas Cubanas," "Yo Tengo una Muñeca," "Sabronsona," and "Señor Juez" are all included as well. The band itself sounds good, with its strings and vocal harmonies, and the sound quality is optimal, and because the tracks are from such a definite time period, the album acts as a really nice selection of
Orquesta Aragón's music when they first broke out as huge mambo and cha cha stars. ~ Marisa Brown
