Trampled by Turtles were formed in 2003 when rock & roll guitarist
Dave Simonett decided to take a new approach after his amplifier was stolen. Ten years later, the group has developed a passionate following for its music, which fuses the organic, acoustic sound of bluegrass, the lonely soul of the blues, and the feel and lyrical outlook of rock & roll.

Live at First Avenue captures the group on-stage, performing for an enthusiastic crowd at one of Minneapolis' most prestigious rock venues. Selections include "Bloodshot Eyes," "Gasoline," "Midnight on the Interstate," "New Orleans," and a cover of
the Pixies' "Where Is My Mind?"
